Lego® buildings (British Columbia)

Architectural exhibition

Come visit the magnificent exhibition prepared by our young architects! Youths will take us on an adventure to great cities, such as Paris, Dubai New York and Toronto using Lego® architecture to make their constructions.  A brief information session (architect, structure, history and anecdote) on the building chosen will be part of their projects. These replicas of our famous, large structures will be sure to dazzle you! Complete the workshop with a small research activity by your aspiring architects on the building of their choice.

Objectives at the primary level:

• Construct various buildings (e.g. the Burj Khalifa skyscraper, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Empire State Building, the Louvre Museum, etc.).
• Be able to read Lego® building instructions for internationally famous buildings.
• Recognize the different pieces needed for construction.
• Consider the constraints on project completion (time, dimensions, teamwork and implementation challenges).
