Interested in activities related to science and technology, but also looking for youths to enjoy themselves while incorporating this knowledge into the learning program?

All profaqua workshops and projects are interactive, fun and adapted to  meet the program requirements of the Ministère de l’Éducation et de l’Enseignement supérieur (MEES) of Quebec and the British Columbia Ministry of Education. These activities are divided into four main areas: the material world, Earth and Space, the living world and the technological world. You are guaranteed to find an activity that meets your needs.

How does it work?

At the beginning of each workshop, the animator chooses an assistant with the most recent birthday, and this student has the privilege of wearing a profaqua lab coat and helps with the demonstrations for the introductions.

In groups, we get their brains in motion by asking youths what they already know before providing any “titbits” on the topic at hand.

Youths then participate in various interactive activities that may be organized in two different ways.

The first is the formation of 6 teams who share the tasks and challenges using colour-coded clips to identify each student. The second consists of rotating workshops. Students are questionned on their different hypotheses throughout the activities. After a brief conclusion, we thank our assistant in a foreign language.

Educational booklets are also available after the activities to ensure follow-up and assist in the assessment of understanding youths.
