Thief! The animator’s kit has disappeared! The instructor’s cell phone is missing! Who ate the birthday cake? Where is the gift? Many possible outcomes that prove to be exciting for everyone! How do we find these items and catch the culprit? Your aspiring detectives will be in hot pursuit of the criminal, using the most sophisticated investigation techniques and a specialized team! Portrait sketches with fingerprints, secret codes revealed with UV light; no stone will be left unturned to find the troublemaker and restore justice!
Objectives at the elementary level:
- Uncover and list clues based on their relevance.
- Use a variety of techniques and observation tools.
- Demonstrate that chemical changes (e.g. invisible ink) modify the properties of matter.
- Understand the scientific interest of fingerprints, sketches and coded messages.
- Apply scientific reasoning.
