Young people don’t just learn science… they live it!
Would you like to offer your students interactive science and technology activities connected to the curriculum?
You’re in the right place!
The 55+ science and robotics workshops offered by Profaqua are interactive, engaging, and designed to spark students’ curiosity while supporting the British Columbia curriculum.
Our activities cover a wide range of scientific fields, including biology, chemistry, physics, Earth and space science, environmental science, engineering, technology, and robotics. They are designed for students from Kindergarten to Grade 12, providing teachers with hands-on, engaging educational experiences that integrate seamlessly into their classroom planning.
Through an approach based on experimentation, hands-on learning, and active participation, students develop curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills while discovering science in a fun and meaningful way.
Whether you are looking to reinforce a concept taught in class, enrich a learning unit, or simply provide your students with a memorable science experience, Profaqua offers a workshop tailored to your needs.
All of our activities are turnkey. We bring the scientific equipment, lead the workshop, and leave the classroom clean at the end of the session. Teachers can simply enjoy the experience alongside their students.
How do our classroom workshops work?
An Interactive Science Experience
At Profaqua, every workshop is designed to actively engage all students. At the beginning of each activity, a Science Assistant is selected from the class to help the presenter during demonstrations. To highlight their special role, the student proudly wears a Profaqua lab coat throughout the workshop.
Before each experiment, students are encouraged to share their prior knowledge, make predictions, and discuss the scientific concepts that will be explored. This approach promotes curiosity, observation skills, scientific reasoning, and active participation from the entire class.
Depending on the workshop theme, activities may be organized as collaborative challenges, rotating learning stations, or team-based investigations, allowing every student to handle equipment, experiment, and solve scientific challenges.
Throughout the workshop, students develop critical thinking, creativity, and teamwork skills in a dynamic, engaging, and enjoyable learning environment.
To extend the learning experience beyond the workshop, teachers receive educational support materials following the activity. These resources help reinforce key concepts and make it easy to continue learning in the classroom.
