We have the perfect project for you. In this advanced version of Lego\u00ae MINDSTORMS, we offer an exciting range of activities, such as sumo wrestling, recycling chain, moving through a maze and elephant dance\u2026See how your young programmers can live up to the challenge!<\/p>\n<p><strong>On the menu:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>From 3 workshops of 90 minutes in school<\/li>\n<li>\u00a060-minute workshops possibly as an extracurricular activity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong><u>Objectives at the elementary level:<\/u><\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Understand the mechanism of the parts of a robot (brick, motors, sensors and structure).<\/li>\n<li>Understand a programming sequence using the Mindstorms EV3\u00ae<\/li>\n<li>Recognize the rotation and translation movements in the actions of robots.<\/li>\n<li>Identify mechanical parts and their effects (gears, cams and lever).<\/li>\n<li>Explain the use of fractions in robotics (gear ratio and rotation of wheels)<\/li>\n<li>Recognize and identify the execution challenges (frictional force, direction and speed).<\/li>\n<li>Recognize the influence and impact of robots on today\u2019s society.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong><u>Objectives at the secondary level:<\/u><\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Describe the functions of the components of a transmission system for movement (e.g. sprockets of bikes and chain).<\/li>\n<li>Describe speed variation or the reversibility of a transmission system for movement (e.g. gear ratio (1: 3 or 3: 1) and the effects on assembly.<\/li>\n<li>Identify transmission systems for movement in a robot (friction wheels, pulleys and belt, gear, sprockets and chain, wheel and worm screw).<\/li>\n<li>Explain the choice of a transmission mechanism for movement in a technical object (e.g. use of a gear instead of friction wheels for more motor torque and to prevent sliding).<\/li>\n<li>Describe the advantages and disadvantages related to adhesion and friction between parts and on the ground.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Technology\u2026and profaqua at your service!
