Three workshops will be offered to our young electrical engineers to build simple and increasingly complex electrical circuits, from the use of a light bulb to an integrated circuit! They will learn the difference between a series circuit and a parallel circuit so that they can use the incredible SNAP Circuits\u00ae electronic device kit. You will be impressed at their skills in building clocks and taking control of the AM airwaves of a radio station to stream their own music. Electronics will no longer be a mystery to them!<\/p>\n<p><strong>On menu:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Electric circuits (60-75 min)<\/li>\n<li>Electronics (60-75 min)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong><u>Objectives at the elementary level:<\/u><\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Understand what electricity is.<\/li>\n<li>Use the different components of a simple and complex electric circuit (wire, lightbulb, power source and switch).<\/li>\n<li>Be able to understand the function of the components of the different electronic Snap Circuits pieces.<\/li>\n<li>Understand the use and function of different electric circuits (series and parallel).<\/li>\n<li>Know to read plans with symbols.<\/li>\n<li>Reflect on your mistakes to determine the causes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong><u>Objectives at the secondary level:<\/u><\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Describe the energy transformations taking place when electronic devices are operating.<\/li>\n<li>Assemble and describe the functions of electric and electronic components based on the circuit diagram given.<\/li>\n<li>Distinguish between alternating and direct current.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Electrifying experiments!
