Vice-Versa<\/h1>\n

A microgrant to carry out a French-language project with students<\/h2>\n

The Vice-Versa<\/strong> program, administered by the F\u00e9d\u00e9ration de la jeunesse canadienne-fran\u00e7aise (FJCF)<\/strong>, supports projects carried out through partnerships between Francophone community organizations and Francophone schools in minority-language communities.<\/p>\n

The goal is to enable students to actively participate in the planning, selection and implementation of the project<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

$1,500 per school and per project<\/h3>\n

Vice-Versa provides a $1,500 microgrant per school and per project<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A school can receive one microgrant per school year. When the same project is carried out in several eligible schools, the funding amounts can be combined.<\/p>\n

Travel\/remoteness bonuses<\/strong> may also be available in certain regions.<\/p>\n

Which schools can participate?<\/h3>\n

The program is open to schools from kindergarten to Grade 12<\/strong> that are listed in Vice-Versa\u2019s directory of eligible schools.<\/p>\n

For the 2026\u20132027 school year<\/strong>, funded projects must take place between August 25, 2026 and June 30, 2027<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Who can apply?<\/h3>\n

Applications must be submitted by a properly incorporated Canadian non-profit organization (NPO)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The organization must establish a partnership with one or more eligible schools before submitting the application.<\/p>\n

What if you would like to bring Profaqua to your school?<\/h3>\n

Profaqua can contribute to French-language science projects that allow students to actively engage in the project<\/strong>, rather than simply participate in a one-time activity.<\/p>\n

For example, a project could allow students to explore a science topic, choose an activity or approach, and then take part in delivering the project with Profaqua.<\/p>\n

Important:<\/strong> Projects whose main focus is arts, culture or heritage<\/strong> should instead be submitted through the PassepART<\/strong> program.<\/p>\n

Three types of projects<\/h3>\n

Vice-Versa supports several types of projects, including:<\/p>\n

Single-school project<\/strong>
\nA project carried out with one school on a specific date.<\/p>\n

Tour project<\/strong>
\nThe same project delivered in several schools on different dates. A tour must take place within the same province or territory.<\/p>\n

Gathering project<\/strong>
\nA one-time project that brings together students from several schools within the same region.<\/p>\n

How does the funding work with Profaqua?<\/h3>\n

1. Develop your project<\/strong>
\nThe school and partner organization discuss a project that meets Vice-Versa\u2019s objectives and involves students in its development.<\/p>\n

2. Contact Profaqua<\/strong>
\nWe can discuss how a science activity could be incorporated into your project.<\/p>\n

3. The partner organization submits the application<\/strong>
\nThe partner NPO submits the application online to Vice-Versa in collaboration with the school.<\/p>\n

4. Carry out the project<\/strong>
\nOnce funding is approved, the organization receives the microgrant and the project can be carried out with the students.<\/p>\n
